This page presents a collection of data sets that exist on JASMIN/CEMS Group Workspaces (GWSs).

These data sets are managed by individual projects and are not currently available beyond the project groups. They are provided here to help different projects and research groups save time and storage space by identifying data sets are required by multiple activities.

1. MODIS/Terra Surface Reflectance Daily L2G Global 1km and 500m SIN Grid V006 (mod09ga)

DescriptionThe MOD09GA Version 6 product provides an estimate of the surface spectral reflectance of Terra MODIS Bands 1-7 corrected for atmospheric conditions such as gasses, aerosols, and Rayleigh scattering. Provided along with the 500 m reflectance and four observation bands are a set of nine 1 km observation bands. The reflectance layers form the MOD09GA are used as the source data for many of the MODIS land products. Validation at stage 3 has been achieved for all MODIS Surface Reflectance products.

6. Met Office NWP output processed for use with the NAME model (ukmo-nwp-name)

DescriptionThe NAME atmospheric dispersion model requires a time-varying 3-dimensional description of key atmospheric properties in order to calculate dispersion of pollutants and air masses. This is provided by the Met Office Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) output from the operational forecasting system. Data is provided on a range of resolutions and domains. Note that the data, in PP format, has been specially processed and formatted for use by NAME.
Usage conditions/licenceUsers must have signed up to the Met Office licensing conditions associated with the NAME licence.

DescriptionAn ensemble of 27 year atmosphere-only future climate simulations at 130, 60 and 25 km resolution (3 members each) run using the Global Atmosphere 3 (GA3) configuration of the Met Office Unified Model (MetUM). DescriptionA collection of atmosphere-only present climate simulations at 25 km resolution run during the UPSCALE campaign using the Global Atmosphere 4 (GA4) configuration of the Met Office Unified Model (MetUM). These runs include a 25 year control run, two 8 year experiments with (a) a shorter time step for the radiation routines an (b) the whole model, and a 6-member perturbed initial condition ensemble for 2003-2004.
